The Camera I Use - For Beginners (200d Mark ii)

As a newbie to photography it can be easy to jump straight to a high end camera, hence the term 'All the gear and no idea'. Below is an image of the camera I started with and am still using.

I highly recommend this camera to anyone considering venturing into photography. This camera for its price is fantastic. Lets list out why I personally think this camera is great for beginners

1. Its Price ($700 AUD)

This camera can easily be picked up for around $600-$700 with lenses and extras. For this price its easily accessible for beginners and if you accidently drop it while learning its not as disastrous.

2. Its Dual Pixel Auto-Focus W/ Eye detect AF

This camera comes with reasonably great auto-focus. It may not be as fast as a 1dx or R5 but it certainly gets the job done very well. On top of this it comes with EYE DETECT AF. That's right, when shot in live view mode this camera can track peoples eyes and keep them in focus.
